Book Review: Answers to Questions Teachers Ask About Sensory Integration
Numerous experts in Sensory Processing Disorder have put together this booklet offering forms, checklists and practical tools for parents to use. The book includes a number of age-apprropriate worksheets to help you pinpoint the type of sensory issues your child is experiencing. For teachers, the book includes the Balzer-Martin Preschool Screening as well.
What I particularly like about this book is the teacher guide for classroom accommodations and organizing sensory input. In addition, it includes some terrific handouts of Sensory Processing Disorder characteristics to help parents and teachers better understand how SPD may affect your child.
Answers to Questions also won the 2004 Teachers’ Choice Award from Learning Magazine.
Authors include: Jane Koomar, Carol Kranowitz, Stacey Szklut, Lynn Balzer-Martin, Elizabeth Haber and Deanna Iris Sava.
